1. Purpose
The primary efficiency filter, also known as the coarse efficiency filter, is used as the front-end filter for air filtration to effectively protect the filtration efficiency and service life of the lower filters. It is mainly used to filter dust particles larger than 5 μm. It is typically used for: the primary filtration of air conditioning systems and the pre-filtering of multi-stage filtration systems. Its structure includes plate type, folded type, and bag type.
2. Structure
The structure of the primary filter usually consists of a dragon frame and a frame frame. The dragon frame is characterized by being sturdy and having a uniform distribution of filtration materials, but it is time-consuming and labor-intensive to manufacture. The frame frame is characterized by convenient replacement of filter materials, saving time, and slightly inferior strength compared to the dragon frame. The outer frame materials include paper frames, aluminum frames, and galvanized iron frames. The filtration materials include non-woven fabric, nylon net, activated carbon filter materials, metal nets, etc. The protective nets include double-sided plastic sprayed metal wire nets and double-sided galvanized metal wire nets.
3. Characteristics
The filtration materials can be replaced by themselves, and the initial effect of the paper frame is one-time.
4. Replacement cycle
If the filter uses washable filter materials, it is usually replaced every 1-2 months, and the replaced filter materials can be rinsed with water or a solution containing neutral cleaning agent, dried before replacement; the maximum allowed cleaning times are two, that is, new filter materials must be replaced to ensure filtration efficiency. When the resistance of the filter exceeds 250 Pa, the filter must be replaced. If the dust concentration in the environment is very high, the service life will be shortened.
5. Installation and usage instructions
Regularly check if the filter is damaged, if the air inlet is blocked, and if the surface of the filter material is damaged; if there are foreign objects blocking the surface, they should be removed; if the surface of the filter material is severely damaged, a new filter material or a new filter must be replaced and reinstalled. When installing the filter, ensure a good seal with the frame side to prevent air leakage. Do not hit the filter surface with heavy objects or pull the surface of the filter material forcefully.
