How to clean a medium-efficiency filter

2025.01.11
  For medium-efficiency filters, the pressure difference switch usually triggers an alarm after being used for 3 months. At this point, it indicates that the filter has reached its saturation point and needs to be replaced or cleaned. The cleaning process is also very important because improper cleaning methods may cause the filter bag to deform, reduce the dust retention capacity, and increase the resistance.
  I. Cleaning Methods

  1. Before cleaning, hold one end of the filter bag with your hand and gently tap it with a wooden stick to remove the dust that is adsorbed on the filter bag and soak it in drinking water to wash off the floating dust.

  2. Soak and clean it with laundry detergent or cleaning agent.

  3. Rinse with drinking water and then dry or dry it in the sun.

  II. Inspection Methods

  Inspect the filter bag visually for no foreign objects. Ensure it is clean and white, then observe with strong light to check if the eyes are unobstructed, which indicates it is qualified. After drying or drying it, seal it in a clean plastic bag for future use.

  III. Cleaning of the Clean Room High-Efficiency Filter, replace once every one and a half years, and do not reuse. If the specified time is not reached, the following situations also require replacement:

  1. The air flow speed drops to the minimum level, even after replacing the filter, the air flow speed still cannot increase;

  2. The high-efficiency filter has an irreparable leakage.

  IV. Cleaning of the Return Air Filter once a month, and clean once a week in rooms with frequent dust generation.

  V. For the filter bags of the penicillin (or cephalosporin) air conditioning system, soak them in alkaline solution before using detergent (the alkaline solution should be neutralized with acid before discharge).

  VI. Operators should record the cleaning and replacement of all filters.
